Our back patio had an outdoor kitchen including two separate outdoor weatherproof outlets with GFCI protection and under-counter LED strip lighting with in-use weatherproof cover and a dedicated circuit for string lights as well as a dedicated circuit for the outdoor refrigerator. An existing electrician installed 3 separate circuits within the main panel that bypass the structure to the patio, including commercial-grade weatherproof boxes at each installation and every outlet, light box, and appliance connected to these circuits endures 2 complete seasons of outdoor entertaining—including numerous, significant rainfall events—with no GFCI failure or trips nor weather-related failure.

Our family was concerned about the warm feeling of the one outlet in our livingroom when there was any electronic appliance plugged into it. Used several tools to diagnose and repair the outlet. We felt really good that it was handled well, knowing that it was done correctly.

I had been replacing power strips for days as it was using the outlet behind our home office desk to charge devices for an hour or two, then no charging, then it would charge on its own again, and I just was guessing that it was vaporated by the poor power strip. The electrician opened the outlet and discovered the originator had installed the outlet with push-in, backstab terminals instead of screw terminals and had one of the backstab contacts work loose enough that only intermittent contact was making while the connectors were being plugged in. He replaced the outlet with a commercial 20-amp receptacle with screw terminals and good torqued connections and since he replaced the outlet in three months, no power dropouts have occurred behind the outlet.
